Yani Tseng

Biography

Yani Tseng turned professional in 2007 and competed on the Asian Golf Tour, winning the DLF Women’s Indian Open.  In 2008, Tseng was honored the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year award at the ADT Championship.  Tseng advanced on to become the first player from Taiwan and second-youngest player, at 21 years, to win the Rolex Player of the Year in 2010.  That same year, Tseng won two major championships, the Kraft Nabisco Championship and the RICOH Women’s British Open, accounting for her second and third LPGA key victories.  This past year, Tseng won seven LPGA events and became the youngest player ever, male or female, to win five majors after claiming the RICOH Women’s British Open.  Tseng also became the youngest player to win consecutive Rolex Player of the Year awards and won her first Vare Trophy for lowest scoring average in 2011.  This will be Tseng’s first year competing in the CVS Caremark Charity Classic.
