Biography
Two-time tournament champion Jay Haas makes his seventh appearance at this year’s CVS Caremark Charity Classic. He and partner Morgan Pressel won the event last year as the first co-ed team champions, while he and son Bill teamed up to win in 2004. Haas has nine PGA TOUR titles and 16 Champions Tour victories, including winner of the 2006 and 2008 Charles Schwab Cups. A member of both the South Carolina and Wake Forest Hall of Fames, Haas has played in three Ryder Cups and two Presidents Cups in his 37-year career. Among his many awards, Haas was the 2004 recipient of the Payne Stewart Award and in 2005 was honored with both the Jim Murray Award from the Golf Writers Association of America and the Bob Jones Award from the United States Golf Association.
