Fred Funk

Biography

Fred Funk is making his fourth appearance in the CVS Caremark Charity Classic.  Funk took home the CVS Caremark Charity Classic Championship trophy in 2005, along with partner Chris DiMarco.  Funk earned eight PGA Tour victories including the 2005 Players Championship.  He became the fifth oldest player to win on the PGA Tour with his victory at the 2007 Mayakoba Classic.  Since joining the Champions Tour in 2006, Funk has earned seven titles, including three majors, with the most recent being the 2012 Insperity Championship.  Funk was a member of the 2004 Ryder Cup Team and a two-time Presidents Cup Member (2003, 2005).  Funk served as the Head Men’s Golf Coach at the University of Maryland from 1982-1988.
